Nadine Seward is a Lecturer in Global Implementation Science at King's College London (KCL), affiliated with the Centre for Implementation Science. She holds a BSc in Life Sciences (Queen’s University, Canada), an MSc in Epidemiology (LSHTM), and a PhD in Epidemiology (UCL). Prior to joining KCL in 2018, she worked at LSHTM and UCL on maternal/newborn health trials and causal mediation analysis. Her current role focuses on scaling effective interventions using implementation science methodologies, particularly through collaborations with the NIHR ASSET Unit. She leads teaching modules for MSc programs in Implementation Science and Global Mental Health.
- Research Interests: Implementation science methodologies, causal inference in global health, maternal/newborn health, mental health interventions in low-resource settings.
- Key Projects: SPARK (developmental disorders in African children), INSPIRE (mental health of teenage girls in Mozambique/Kenya), PROACTIVE (late-life depression in Brazil).
- Affiliations: NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Health System Strengthening (ASSET), MRC-funded projects on adolescent mental health.
Her work aligns with UN SDGs, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). Recent research emphasizes evaluating interventions' effectiveness through causal mediation analysis and adapting methodologies for low-resource contexts.
