Giorgia Gon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and International Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Her work integrates epidemiology, behavioral science, and implementation research, focusing on maternal and newborn health in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She is also a Guest Scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research.

Research Interests
Her research addresses infection prevention and control (IPC) in healthcare environments, climate change adaptation, and social norms change mechanisms. Current projects include community-based interventions to mitigate heat exposure risks in LMICs and evaluating environmental hygiene programs in Gambian maternity wards.
Professional Activities
She co-organizes LSHTM's MSc module 'Basic Epidemiology' and mentors early-career researchers. Her collaborations span WHO, UNODC, Africa CDC, and WaterAid. Grants include the RGHI global fellowship scheme and MRC-funded studies on climate change health impacts.
