Nadine M. Fisher is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo with dual appointments in the Department of Rehabilitation Science within the School of Public Health and Health Professions and the Department of Physiology and Biophysics in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She directs the Rehabilitation Physiology Laboratory and co-directs the Rehabilitation Science PhD Program.
Her educational background includes an EdD and EdM in exercise science (physiology) and physical education (physiology) respectively, and a BA in biology, all earned at the University at Buffalo.
Dr. Fisher's research focuses on physiological and functional limitations across diverse disability populations, with particular expertise in developing targeted rehabilitation protocols. Her work spans osteoarthritis, juvenile arthritis, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, hemophilia, and geriatric populations ranging from frail to well elderly. This positions her at the intersection of clinical rehabilitation, exercise physiology, and disability-specific therapeutic interventions.
