Nadia Volodar is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), with a dual background as a Lawyer and Political Scientist. She holds postgraduate degrees in Feminist Criminology and Local Government, Crime, and Security Policies. Her professional career spans over 14 years in human rights advocacy and criminal law within Argentina's public sector, including roles in the Federal Executive Branch and the Office of the Public Prosecutor. She has addressed human rights violations such as illegal child appropriation during Argentina’s dictatorship, human trafficking, and systemic issues in correctional and judicial systems.
Her academic contributions focus on criminal justice reform, security policy development, and interdisciplinary human rights frameworks. She is currently a 2023-2024 participant in Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg’s M.A. Human Rights program, drawn to its interdisciplinary approach blending legal, political, and philosophical perspectives. This program’s practical components, including participation in the 55th Human Rights Council session in Geneva, align with her commitment to bridging theory and practice in human rights advocacy.
