Mujahid Munib

Mujahid Munib is a Lecturer at Tabish University and Maiwand University in Kabul, Afghanistan, where he taught criminal procedure law and legal writing skills. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law Jurisprudence (2008) and a Master's in International Law (2018), both from Afghanistan. He also earned certificates in Principal of Advocacy from the Human Rights Education Association (HREA) and Gender Adviser training from the Folke Bernadotte Academy.

Professionally, he has worked as an Attorney and Legal Clinic Supervisor with the International Legal Foundation of Afghanistan (ILF-A), providing legal aid and training law students. From 2012 to 2017, he served as a Legal Adviser/Gender Justice with the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), focusing on eliminating violence against women (EVAW), supporting judicial reforms, and developing training curricula. He later contributed to legal reforms as a Legal Analyst with Checchi/USAID, creating manuals for Supreme Court judges. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Judicial Affairs Expert at the Administration Office of the President (AOP).

His research and professional interests center on human rights, gender justice, international criminal law, and transitional justice. He was awarded a DAAD scholarship during his participation in the M.A. Human Rights program at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), where he engaged with interdisciplinary studies and multicultural peers.

He has conducted extensive trainings for legal professionals, judges, and prosecutors, emphasizing women’s rights and legal reforms. His work with organizations like IDLO and ILF-A highlights his dedication to advancing gender equality and legal frameworks protecting vulnerable populations.
