Mwali Muray is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, University of Ottawa. She holds a PhD in Nursing (University of Ottawa), an MBA from Laurentian University, and a BScN from Laurentian University. Her research focuses on health disparities faced by linguistic and visible minorities, francophone communities, and vulnerable populations, with a particular emphasis on healthcare access, services management, and acute care nursing.
Dr. Muray has extensive clinical experience in emergency nursing and served as Head of Clinical Education at Laurentian University’s School of Nursing and a clinical educator at the Institut du Savoir Montfort. She currently supervises thesis students eligible for the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant.
Her publications address topics such as food insecurity in marginalized communities, pandemic responses in racialized groups, and language-specific healthcare access. Key themes in her work include equity, systemic barriers, and innovative educational strategies like virtual simulations for bilingual healthcare training.
