Mustafa Gencoglu

Prof. Mustafa Gencoglu is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Civil Engineering, specializing in earthquake engineering, structural materials, and reinforced concrete structures. He leads the Composite Building Elements Laboratory and has held roles such as Head of Department and Deputy Director of the Institute. His research focuses on seismic performance, composite materials, and structural resilience, with notable contributions to textile-reinforced cementitious composites (TRCC) and permanent formwork systems.

He has pioneered studies on permanent formwork systems for reinforced concrete columns and cyclic loading effects on masonry infill walls.
