Muhammet Selim İPEK is an Associate Professor at Kafkas University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Eastern Languages and Literatures (Arabic Language and Literature), since 2020. He holds a PhD in Arabic Language and Literature from Atatürk University (2006-2012), an MSc in Turkish Language and Literature Teaching (2002-2005), and a BA in Arabic Language and Literature from Atatürk University (1998-2002). His academic career includes 11 years at Kafkas University (2014-present) and 1 year at Kırıkkale University (2013-2014).

He has served as Department Head at Kafkas University (2021-2023) and currently holds Faculty Council Membership (2025-). He has edited two international books (2023) and reviewed for journals like e-şarkiyat and EKEV Akademi Dergisi (2016-2017). Teaching roles include advanced grammar, stylistics, and classical Arabic prose courses (2012-2020).
