Dr. Abdulkadir Kiziltas is an Assistant Professor at Bingöl University's Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He holds a PhD in Old Turkish Literature from Atatürk University (2018) and has been affiliated with Bingöl University since 2009, initially as a research assistant.
Education: BA in Turkish Language and Literature (Afyon Kocatepe University, 2008), MA in Old Turkish Literature (Afyon Kocatepe University, 2011), PhD in Old Turkish Literature (Atatürk University, 2018).
Research focuses on intersections between Islam and literature, including classical commentary traditions (e.g., Yunus Edib's works), Sufi poetry genres (arzıhal, tehlil, naat), and textual analysis of Ottoman and classical Turkish manuscripts. Recent work highlights religious poetry forms like tehıl and mersiye, as well as Ottoman praise poetry for Sultan Selim I.
Publishes in journals like Turkish Studies and Osmanlı Mirası Araştırmaları Dergisi. Serves as a referee for Bingöl Araştırmaları Dergisi and Akademik Matbuat. Authored a novel (İki Gurbet Arasında, 2019) and poetry collection (Tütüne Gazel, 2022).
