Muhammad Ishfaq Ahmad is a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Teesside University, UK, and serves in the TUIBS Finance, Performance & Marketing school. Previously, he held the position of Associate Professor and led the Accounting and Finance Cluster and MBA program at the University of Lahore. He earned a PhD in China (2017) from Liaoning Technical University, receiving the Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Award. He also holds an MPhil from Xi'an Jiaotong University, where he won a Gold Medal.
His research focuses on corporate governance, ESG disclosure, CSR strategies, and firm performance, with recent work exploring the impact of board diversity, pandemic responses, and resource efficiency. He has been recognized with awards for research (2018) and teaching (2022). He currently serves as Managing Editor at the University of Lahore and actively collaborates on global research projects.
Key research contributions include analyzing the moderating role of audit committees in ESG disclosure, cross-cultural CSR practices during crises, and hybrid business models in emerging markets. His work bridges corporate behavior, environmental sustainability, and economic performance.
