Muhammad Adil Abbasi

Muhammad Adil Abbasi is a Lecturer at the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences. His research focuses on advanced materials for energy storage and nanotechnology, particularly metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), MXene composites, and supercapacitors. He actively contributes to sustainable development goals related to affordable and clean energy (SDG 7) and industry innovation (SDG 9).

Adil Abbasi's work includes collaborations in materials science and engineering, with a focus on designing high-performance energy storage systems. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, emphasizing in-situ synthesis techniques and pseudocapacitive materials. He is currently accepting PhD students for research in these areas.

His research also explores bio-based materials for photocatalysis and nanocatalysts for hydrogen generation, reflecting interdisciplinary interests in renewable energy and environmental sustainability. Key contributions include the development of MXene-MOF composites for solid-state supercapacitors and novel approaches to enhance water splitting efficiency.
