Sun Jae Kim

Sun Jae Kim is a Professor in the Department of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Engineering at Sejong University. With a Ph.D. in Materials Science from KAIST (1992), he has made groundbreaking contributions to nanomaterial synthesis and energy storage technologies.

Research interests span nanomaterial fabrication for photocatalysis, secondary batteries, and hydrogen storage systems. His work includes the world's first nanosized rutile phase TiO2 powders and patented HPPLT synthesis processes.

Recent publications (2025) demonstrate advanced nanomaterial designs for Li-ion storage, supercapacitors, and water-splitting catalysts. Key trends include metal-organic framework derivatives, sulfur-doped composites, and 2D nanosheet architectures.
