Muhammad Abubakar Yakasai

Muhammad Abubakar Yakasai is a Lecturer in the Department of History at Sule Lamido University since 2015. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Humboldt University Berlin as part of the ZMO research program on 'State and Society,' focusing on hybrid Muslim elites in Kano, Nigeria. His work bridges Islamic and Western academic traditions through analysis of educational systems and political institutions.

His research examines the formation of modern Muslim intellectuals through the Islamiyya school system and their impact on Kano's religious and cultural landscape.
