Moustafa Mabrouk

Dr. Moustafa Mabrouk is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI) at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (2024) from the University at Buffalo, complemented by MSc degrees from both the University at Buffalo and Alexandria University, as well as a PharmB from Alexandria University.

Research Interests: Dr. Mabrouk focuses on vaccine development for cancer and infectious diseases, leveraging biomaterials and immunology. His work includes pioneering a thermostable COVID-19 vaccine published in Science Advances. He employs an interdisciplinary approach integrating engineering principles with medical sciences to advance healthcare technologies and improve patient outcomes.

Publications & Presentations: Over 20 peer-reviewed articles, including five as first author, and presentations at conferences such as the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH). His research emphasizes translational applications and has attracted international recognition for its clinical potential.

Collaborations & Supervision: Eligible to co-supervise Masters and PhD students. Engages with diverse teams including engineers, immunologists, and clinicians to drive collaborative innovation.
