معرفی
Dr. Yannan Yang is a Group Leader at the Biomaterials & Immune Engineering Laboratory (BIEL) within the South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute at the University of Adelaide. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Queensland (2019) and established his independent research group in 2023. His work focuses on developing biomaterials and nanotechnology-based strategies to modulate immune responses and improve cancer immunotherapy outcomes.
Research Interests: Dr. Yang’s lab designs biocompatible nanoparticles, hydrogels, and biomimetic materials to engineer immunity. Key areas include immunomodulatory materials, controlled drug release systems, and interactions between biomaterials and tumor microenvironments. His work bridges materials science and bioengineering to enhance immunotherapy efficacy while minimizing side effects.
Grants & Supervision: Eligible to supervise Masters/PhD students in biomaterials and immunotherapy. Active in securing funding for translational research in cancer immunotherapy. Recent work includes developing vaccine technologies using engineered biomaterials for clinical translation.
Labs/Teams: Leads the BIEL lab, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in nanotechnology, immunology, and oncology to advance cancer treatment strategies.
