Dr. Morrie Mullins is a Professor at the School of Psychology at Xavier University, specializing in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. He has been affiliated with Xavier since 2002, previously teaching at Virginia Tech and Bowling Green State University. His work emphasizes a student-centric approach within smaller academic environments.
Dr. Mullins' research spans Humanitarian Work Psychology, Volunteerism, and Selection & Assessment, often expanding into student-driven topics like Wellness & Exercise, Pet-Friendly Workplace Policies, and Workplace Diversity. His publications highlight interdisciplinary collaborations and applications of I-O psychology to societal issues. Recent work includes a focus on Macropsychology and Sustainable Development Goals.
He actively contributes to the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), serving on committees and as a conference reviewer for over 20 years. He is a current member of the SIOP United Nations Committee.
