Moritz Schularick

Moritz Schularick is a Professor of Economics at the University of Bonn and Sciences Po Paris, serving as Director of the MacroFinance Lab and a Principal Investigator in the DFG-Excellence Cluster ECONtribute. His roles include Managing Editor of Economic Policy, an elected member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, and recipient of the Leibniz Prize (2022) from the German Research Foundation.

His research focuses on macrofinance, banking stability, international finance, political economy, and economic history. Key contributions address topics such as monetary policy experiments, financial crises, and the political consequences of economic instability.
