Moritz Schularick

Professor Moritz Schularick is an economist affiliated with Sciences Po and Kiel University. He serves as President of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and is a Fellow of the DFG-Excellence Cluster ECONtribute.

His work on credit cycles and financial stability has influenced macro-prudential policy frameworks globally, including the highly cited paper Credit Booms Gone Bust (with Òscar Jordà and Alan Taylor). He leads the MacroFinance Lab and maintains the Jordà-Schularick-Taylor Database.
