Morgan Bridi serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at West Virginia University School of Medicine and holds a dual appointment at the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, they completed undergraduate studies at West Virginia University before earning a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by postdoctoral training at the Hussman Institute for Autism and University of Maryland Medical School.
Research interests focus on neural circuit development and synaptic plasticity under typical and adverse conditions, with emphasis on inhibitory neurons in stress-responsive and sensory systems. Key research areas include:
