Gangyi Wu is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Genetics at Yale University School of Medicine. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders, synaptic function, and cellular biology. He contributes to studies involving mouse models to investigate gene function in neurological conditions.
Research interests include the study of Shank3 protein isoforms in synaptic dysfunction, RhoA signaling pathways in neurite outgrowth, and the role of guanine nucleotide exchange factors in neuronal development. His work bridges molecular genetics and cellular neuroscience to understand disease mechanisms.
Wu collaborates with the Jiang Lab and has published on topics such as synaptic abnormalities in Shank3-deficient mice and the regulation of neuronal morphology through protein interactions. His findings contribute to translational research in autism spectrum disorders and related neurodevelopmental conditions.
