Sudcharoen's research explores the intersection of state control, migrant childhoods, and educational systems in Thailand, as well as Thailand's role in global educational migration. They are deeply engaged in analyzing digital activism, particularly internet memes and social media discourse, in Thai youth-led political movements post-2020. Their work spans sociocultural hierarchies, language politics, and semiotics of identity, with cross-disciplinary applications in sociology, linguistics, and human rights.
Their courses, such as Childhood, Migration, and Nation and Youth Culture and Digital Media, emphasize anti-oppressive pedagogical approaches, fostering inclusive learning environments that challenge students' assumptions about society and global issues. Prior to UF, Sudcharoen taught at universities in the United States and Thailand, bringing diverse academic perspectives to their work.
