Monika Schmitz-Emans

Monika Schmitz-Emans is a Professor of Comparative Literature at Ruhr-University Bochum since 1995. She has held leadership roles including President of the Jean Paul Society (2002) and Chairman of the German Society of General and Comparative Literature (1999-2005). Her academic work focuses on general literary theory, comparative literature, and modern European literature, reflecting interdisciplinary and cross-cultural scholarly contributions.
