Prof. Dr. Monika Imschloß is a Professor of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing at the Institute for Management & Organization (IMO) at Leuphana University. Her research explores consumer behavior in retail contexts, emphasizing multisensory marketing, digital transformation, and sustainable practices. She investigates how sensory stimuli like music and haptic elements influence purchasing decisions, alongside consumer responses to digital innovations and eco-friendly products.
Her academic career includes a Junior Professorship for Marketing and Retail at the University of Cologne (2015–2020) and doctoral research at the University of Mannheim. She holds a Dipl. Psych. in Psychology from Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg (2004–2010). Her work prioritizes practical relevance through collaboration with industry practitioners.
