Monika Agnes Sandor

Monika Agnes Sandor is a Research Fellow at the Károli Gáspár Reformed University, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Dutch Studies. She holds a PhD in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto (1993) and an MA in History from Queen's University (1983). Her career spans academic research, legal translation, and technical writing.

• Education: PhD in Medieval Studies (University of Toronto, 1993), MA in History (Queen's University, 1983), Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Translation (City University of London, 2011).

Research Interests focus on Legal Translation, Translation Studies, and Medieval Studies, with expertise in intercultural communication and multilingual documentation. Her recent publications include contributions to EU FP7 projects and edited volumes on interculturalism.

Professional Experience includes a Senior Research Fellow role at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology (2012-2013) and a six-year tenure as an in-house English translator at the Financial Services and Markets Authority (2006-2012). She currently participates in research projects related to secular models in Europe.
