Mona Haimour is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Nursing, MacEwan University, with over 20 years of international and Canadian experience in maternal-child health, public health, and nursing education. She co-developed courses like Nursing Care of Families and Global Health, and pioneered high-fidelity simulation for maternal-child health training.

Her research focuses on public and global health, sustainability, and health equity, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2, 3, 5, 12, 13, and 17. She integrated SDG frameworks into her senior nursing elective Fostering Resilience in Priority Populations and collaborates with local/national organizations for community-engaged learning.
Recent publications explore nursing education's role in sustainable development, maternal-child health innovations, and youth health promotion. She actively participates in global health initiatives, including representing MacEwan at the 74th World Health Assembly (2021) and strengthening partnerships with Ukrainian institutions.
