Mollie Kuchma is an Assistant Professor in Rural Planning and Development at the University of Guelph. She holds a B.A. in Geography, GIS & Environmental Analysis (2012), an M.Sc. in Rural Planning and Development (2014), and an M.P.A. from Western University (2018). Her work focuses on land use planning, environmental policy, and enhancing rural workforce development. She is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI).
Her research emphasizes connecting policy to practice, addressing housing affordability in rural communities and preparing graduate students for professional planning careers. She has served as an expert witness in land use planning disputes and mentors PSB candidates pursuing RPP certification.
