Moji Shahvali is a Lecturer at Breda University of Applied Sciences' Academy for Leisure & Events, specializing in Leisure and Tourism Experiences. He holds a Ph.D. in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management from Penn State University (2018) and has postdoctoral experience at Shiraz University (Iran). His research focuses on leisure's role in fostering human relationships, happiness, and mental wellbeing, with particular emphasis on couples' vacation experiences and experiential tourism impacts.

He actively participates in editorial work for journals like International Journal of Tourism Research and organizes academic activities such as hosting visiting scholars and conference presentations.
Current projects include measuring performing arts impacts and developing crypto literacy programs. His work bridges academic research with practical applications in tourism education and policy.
