Dr. Moira Nikodem is a Lecturer at Robert Gordon University's Aberdeen Business School with sixteen years of teaching experience in organizational behavior and human resource management across five Scottish higher education institutions. She joined RGU in 2019 from the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School where she remains an Affiliate Lecturer.
Her educational background includes an LLB in Law, MA (Hons), MRes, and PhD in Management Studies from the University of Aberdeen, plus a PGCert in Narrative Research from the University of East London. She holds professional recognition as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and Academic Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (AcademicMCIPD).
Dr. Nikodem's research focuses on qualitative studies in diversity and inclusion, learning and development, and career progression. Her doctoral research explored the intersectional influences of gender, class, ethnicity, ageing and generation on careers and retirement through life stories of women retired from education careers. Current research examines evidence-based HR practices with Dr. Susan Reid Elder.
Her recent publications demonstrate strong thematic consistency in examining diversity, inclusion, and professional development across different sectors and geographical contexts, particularly focusing on developing economies and gender dynamics.

Dr. Nikodem has extensive supervision experience across MBA, MSc and undergraduate levels with three completed doctoral supervisions and one current PhD candidate. She also serves on Aberdeen Business School's Ethics Committee overseeing research ethics standards.
