Racheal Adedokun is a Lecturer in Management at Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University (RGU), specializing in energy transition, sustainability, and digital transformation. With over twelve years of experience spanning both industry and academia, she plays a key role in teaching MBA, MSc and undergraduate courses while actively contributing to research in energy policy and strategic planning.
Dr. Adedokun holds a PhD in Management from Robert Gordon University, where her research examined strategic planning processes and governance in energy transition. She also earned an MBA from RGU and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Her professional credentials include Chartered Manager (CMI, UK), Certified Management Consultant (ICMCI), Certified Management Specialist, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Her research focuses on energy transition road mapping, sustainability, carbon management, and strategic planning, incorporating principles of sociotechnical systems, sustainability transitions, systems thinking, accountability, transparency, and social constructionism. She has led a sustainability research project focused on shaping business practices to support net-zero ambitions across Scotland/UK and has presented her work at esteemed international seminars and conferences.
The analysis of her 15 most recent publications reveals a strong focus on renewable energy transition in Nigeria, particularly examining grid-based renewable electricity sector development.
