Lisa Collie serves as Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, with over 13 years of higher education experience spanning quality assurance, academic support, and teaching roles since joining RGU in 2008 after industry work. Her responsibilities include developing the HRM team, overseeing undergraduate/postgraduate/work-based HRM delivery, and leading the CIPD-accredited MSc Human Resource Management program.
Her academic qualifications comprise an MA(Hons) in English and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Human Resource Management (with Distinction) from Robert Gordon University, completed part-time between 2012-2015.
Research focuses on Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour with emerging interdisciplinary work in Restorative Justice and Indigenous Knowledge Systems. Her scholarship bridges theoretical frameworks with practical workplace applications, particularly examining non-Western perspectives like Ubuntu philosophy in justice contexts.
Her sole recent publication analyzes African indigenous knowledge systems through the lens of restorative justice, demonstrating cross-disciplinary engagement with jurisprudence and value inquiry outside Western paradigms.
