Mohammed Konte

Mohammed Konte is a Lecturer in the Business Department at the University of Minnesota Crookston, where he has taught since August 2023. Based in the Sahlstrom Conference Center, he instructs multiple sections of accounting courses including Principles of Accounting II, Managerial Accounting, and Forensic Accounting across both on-campus and online formats.

His research centers on modern accounting methodologies with emphasis on data analytics integration, educational innovation in accounting curricula, and the transformative impact of generative AI on accounting practices and contemporary industry challenges.

Konte actively contributes to university governance as Finance Search Committee Member and Student Care Team Member. He maintains professional engagement through the American Accounting Association and is scheduled to participate in the UND Multicultural Conference (October 2024) and AAA Leadership in Accounting Education Seminar (February 2025), while recently joining the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning cohort in January 2025.
