Prof. dr. Mladenka Govedarica is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo, specializing in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. She has been affiliated with the university since 2001, holding roles such as Vice-Dean for Teaching Processes and member of the Board for Social Sciences. Her research focuses on juvenile offenders, criminal proceedings, and legal reforms in the Republic of Srpska. She teaches graduate courses on Criminal Proceedings and postgraduate courses on Juvenile Criminal Law and Execution of Criminal Sanctions.
Education includes a Law degree from the University of East Sarajevo (2001), an LLM from the University of Belgrade (2008), and a doctoral thesis titled 'Juvenile Offenders in the Criminal Legislation of Republic of Srpska' defended in 2013. She authored 13 academic papers and a forthcoming book on juvenile offenders in Republic of Srpska law.
Professional contributions include roles in university governance, disciplinary commissions, and the Ministry of Justice's Professional Council for Criminal Sanctions. Her recent publications address legal remedies for minors, drug abuse legislation, and procedural reforms in criminal justice.
