Misita Anwar is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University. She holds a PhD in Information Systems from Monash University (2014), an MSc in Information Science from UNSW (2003), and a BEng in Communication Engineering from La Trobe University (1998). Her work focuses on data governance, digital inclusion, and sustainable urban development, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and equity.
Dr. Anwar leads and collaborates on projects such as 'Digital Health Inclusion' (2022–2022) and 'Participatory Research and Ownership with Technology' (2019–2025), funded by organizations like the Empowerment Charitable Trust and Google. She has been recognized with the 2024 Dean’s Award for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for her contributions to inclusive research practices.
