Miroslav Savić is a Full Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. He has been employed there since 1998 and serves as mentor to eight PhD students. His research focuses on neuropsychopharmacology, particularly GABAA receptors and sigma receptors in relation to mood, anxiety, and cognitive disorders.
He leads national projects funded by the Serbian Ministry of Education and Science (2006-2019) and the Science Fund of Serbia (2022-2024), and coordinates international collaborations including H2020 initiatives. His work involves in vitro and in vivo models using nano- and hiPSC-based platforms.
With 61 SCI-indexed publications, 1186 citations (h=22), and two international patents, he contributes to drug development for neuropsychiatric disorders. He serves on national regulatory and ethics committees for medicines and medical sciences.
