Mirjana Nikolic

Mirjana Nikolic is Professor of Visual Effects at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta. Her technical expertise spans particle simulation (snow, spray, dust), fluid dynamics (fire effects), crowd simulation, and RenderMan pipeline integration for animation production.

Industry Experience
Former R&D Engineer at ImageMovers Digital and Technical Director at Pixar Animation Studios, contributing to films including Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, Cars, and Shrek. Developed rendering tools for complex effects including crowds and environmental simulations.

Awards
Recipient of teaching excellence award and World Bank-funded innovation grant for immersive technologies research.
