معرفی
Miriam Stoeber is an Associate Professor at the University of Geneva, leading an SNSF Eccellenza-funded research group in the Department of Cell Physiology and Metabolism. Her work focuses on subcellular receptor signaling and membrane trafficking mechanisms.
- Master’s degree from École Supérieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg
- PhD in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from ETH Zurich
Her research explores how cellular organization regulates GPCR signaling dynamics and trafficking, with applications in neuroscience and pharmacology. Recent studies involve nanobody-based biosensors and location-dependent drug effects on opioid receptors.
Key trends in her publications include:
- Subcellular GPCR signaling specificity
- Structural characterization of caveolae
- Development of optical tools for receptor activation
- Role of GRKs in signal cross-talk
She has received the SNSF Eccellenza grant to support her independent research group.
Her team investigates membrane trafficking pathways and receptor signaling using interdisciplinary approaches, including cryo-electron microscopy and in vivo imaging techniques.
