Miri Rubin

Miri Rubin is a Professor of Medieval and Early Modern History at Queen Mary University of London's School of History. Her research focuses on religious cultures, social relations, Jewish-Christian interactions, gender, and urban life in medieval Europe. She has authored influential books like Cities of Strangers (2020) and Mother of God (2009), exploring themes of identity, community, and religious practices. Rubin actively engages with public audiences through BBC programs, radio lectures, and her role as President of the Jewish Historical Society.

Her research interests include medieval religious expression, material culture, and the dynamics of urban communities.
