Or Rubin

Or Rubin serves as a Researcher at the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) and East Asian Religious History at Ruhr University Bochum, with additional roles as Associate Researcher for the Graduate School of Metaphor and Religion (GSMR) and Collaborative Research Center 1475 "Metaphors of Religion". Rubin is concurrently a doctoral student in the CERES Young Researchers' Program.

Rubin's research centers on Religious Studies, specializing in East Asian religious traditions, historical evolution of religious practices, and metaphorical frameworks in religious discourse. This work integrates historical analysis, cultural studies, and linguistic approaches to examine how religious concepts are constructed and transmitted across societies, with particular attention to cross-cultural metaphorical expressions.

Rubin maintains active collaboration with CERES research groups including the East Asian Religious History unit and the Metaphors of Religion initiative, contributing to interdisciplinary projects that bridge theology, anthropology, and cultural semantics.
