Miri Forbes is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University and an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow. She holds an honorary position in the Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre. Her work focuses on redefining mental illness classification through the Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (HiTOP) model, emphasizing symptom patterns across disorders.
