Miranda Leppla

Miranda Leppla is the Director of the Environmental Law Clinic at the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic Center, School of Law, Case Western Reserve University. She joined the faculty in 2022 to establish a new clinic focused on environmental and energy matters, leveraging her extensive experience in energy policy and litigation from prior roles.

• JD from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law (2010)

Her research interests revolve around environmental and energy law, emphasizing clean energy promotion, energy efficiency, and legal strategies to address climate change and public health protections. Her work bridges litigation, regulatory advocacy, and policy development.

Miranda has represented the Ohio Environmental Council and other non-profits in critical energy-related legal proceedings and regulatory forums, including the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Power Siting Board. She is admitted to practice in Ohio and federal courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
