Mira Burri is a Tenured Professor of International Economic and Internet Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lucerne, where she also serves as Director for Internationalization. She is the principal investigator of the ERC project 'Trade Law 4.0: Trade Law for the Data-Driven Economy' (2021–2026) and a member of the National Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) since 2022.

Mira Burri’s research lies at the intersection of law, technology, and globalization. Her work explores how traditional legal frameworks adapt to the challenges posed by data-driven economies, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms. She investigates regulatory responses to digital monopolies, cross-border data flows, and the balance between free trade and cultural diversity.
