Miquel A. Pericàs

Prof. Miquel A. Pericàs is a Full Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Barcelona and a Group Leader at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ). His career spans over four decades, including leadership roles as Founding Director of ICIQ (2000–2020).

• PhD in Chemistry (University of Barcelona, 1979)
• Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIC (1979–1980)

Research Focus: Development of enzyme-like catalytic systems for sustainable chemical production, enantioselective catalysis in batch and flow reactors, immobilization of catalysts on polymers and magnetic nanoparticles, and light-regulated photocatalytic processes.
