Miodrag Stojkovic

Miodrag Stojkovic is a Serbian professor of human genetics at the Medical Faculty, University of Kragujevac, with a distinguished career spanning institutions in Germany, the UK, Spain, and Serbia. He is also President of the Board of the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGI) in Belgrade and holds visiting professorships at a Medical School and Military Medical Academy in Serbia.

Education:

His research focuses on embryology, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine. He has pioneered work in human embryonic stem cells, nuclear transfer, and epigenetics, including breakthroughs in hematopoietic differentiation, spinal cord injury repair, and hypoxia-induced endothelial differentiation. His work bridges fundamental developmental biology with clinical applications in fertility and regenerative therapies.

Stojkovic's publications highlight trends in human embryonic stem cell applications, neuroregeneration, vascular biology, and epigenetic profiling of IVF-derived embryos. His studies often integrate interdisciplinary approaches, combining molecular biology, cell culture optimization, and in vivo models.

Stojkovic served as Editor of STEM CELLS (2005–2011) and founded Spebo Medical, a fertility clinic in Leskovac, Serbia.
