Mingoo Seok is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia Engineering, part of Columbia University. He is affiliated with the Sense, Collect and Move Data and Smart Cities centers.
- Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University (2005), M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan (2007, 2011)
His research focuses on extreme energy-efficient circuit and system design for cyber-physical systems, enabling ubiquitous and reliable sensing, computation, and communication. His work includes innovations like the Pico watt voltage reference and the 35pW sensor platform design (Phoenix Processor), emphasizing ultra-low-power solutions for IoT and biomedical applications.
