Dr. Ming-Sung Kuo is a Professor and Course Director of the LLM ALS program at the School of Law, University of Warwick. His research focuses on constitutional and legal theory, comparative constitutional law, administrative law, and public international law. He examines transnational legal orders' legitimacy, constitutional presentism, and Taiwan's democratic transition. His work has been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada and awarded the 2020 I·CON Best Paper Prize. Kuo critiques global governance frameworks, exploring themes like post-public legitimacy and institutional learning capacity. His scholarship spans constitutional theory, global administrative law, and judicial dialogue mechanisms.
Key achievements include the 2025 Prize for Scholarly Excellence in Constitutional Studies and impactful articles such as 'Against Instantaneous Democracy' and 'Taming Governance with Legality.'
