Mindy Fishman, MD, is an Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine and serves as Chief of the Division of Obstetric Specialties and Midwifery, as well as Medical Director of Obstetrics within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. She specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, focusing on minimally invasive surgical techniques like laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for reproductive health concerns. Dr. Fishman’s research aims to improve surgical care outcomes for women, emphasizing patient well-being.
Education: BA from University of Pennsylvania (1985, Biological Basis of Behavior, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa); MD from Duke University Medical School (1989). Residency and Fellowship completed at Yale New Haven Hospital (1992–1994).
Her clinical expertise includes managing high-risk pregnancies, pelvic disorders, and reproductive health challenges. She holds leadership roles in numerous committees, including the OB Council, Women’s Executive Steering Committee, and OB Safety Committee. Awards include the Golden Apple Resident Teaching Award (1995) and Medical Student Teaching Recognition Award (2004).
