Leonard H. Zamore

Dr. Leonard H. Zamore is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. He has been a faculty member at Yale since 1970 and currently serves as the Clinical Director of the Ambulatory Women's Center at Yale where he conducts advanced resident teaching.

Dr. Zamore's educational background includes:

Dr. Zamore's primary clinical expertise focuses on advanced operative surgical techniques in gynecology. His surgical proficiency extends to complex procedures including bladder suspension and vaginal graft placement, where he has trained generations of residents at Yale.

Additionally, Dr. Zamore has made significant contributions to menopausal health, particularly regarding hormonal replacement therapy. He has developed comprehensive educational materials including audio and video resources widely adopted for resident teaching. More recently, his clinical focus has expanded to include herpes simplex virus management and osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment in postmenopausal women.

Dr. Zamore is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, with original certification dating back to 1971.
