Dr. Min Hee Kim is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, Rutgers University, affiliated with the Center for Health Services Research and the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. Her work focuses on health equity, particularly addressing structural drivers of inequities in population health and long-term care systems for older adults. She employs large-scale data and advanced quantitative methods to inform equity-oriented policies and interventions. Dr. Kim’s current K99/R00-funded project, supported by the National Institute on Aging, examines delayed diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD), with an emphasis on structural racism and community advocacy impacts.
Education: Joint PhD in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Michigan, with pre-doctoral training at the Michigan Population Studies Center. Postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF in Social Epidemiology.
Research interests include: modifiable structural determinants of health, ADRD prevention/diagnosis disparities, and interventions to address systemic inequities. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges population health and health services research.
