Milorad Radakovic serves as a Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Public Health at the University of Cambridge's Department of Veterinary Medicine, which is part of the School of Biological Sciences. With extensive professional experience spanning decades, he maintains active roles in both academic instruction and professional veterinary practice.
His educational background includes graduation from the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1989, followed by full membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He holds specialized credentials including the Certificate in Veterinary Public Health (Meat Hygiene) and status as an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Public Health.
Dr. Radakovic's research interests focus on Veterinary Public Health/One Health, Food Security & Safety, Animal Health and Welfare, with particular expertise in risk analysis (assessment/management/communication). His work emphasizes the practical application of VPH/One Health principles, including food security (safety) and its links to animal health and welfare, as well as VPH/One Health teaching.
As President of the Veterinary Public Health Association (UK) and member of the International Research Forum on Game Meat Hygiene since 2009, he maintains significant leadership positions in his field. His professional activities include representation before the OIE (World Organisation for Animal Health) and providing expert testimony in high-profile court cases.

Dr. Radakovic's career includes 12 years as a Veterinary Adviser for the Food Standards Agency, where he provided veterinary advice to policy makers and liaised with government departments and academic institutions nationally and internationally. He has conducted FVO audits in EU and South America and has represented the UK government and EU institutions in numerous presentations on public health and its links to animal health and welfare.
