Dr. Militsa Nikiforou is an Assistant Professor in Psychology and Course Leader of the BSc (Hons) Psychology program at the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus). She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cyprus (2013) and has extensive teaching experience, including roles as a Special Teaching Staff member at the University of Cyprus, Open University of Cyprus, and the Ministry of Education. Her research focuses on bullying, victimization, parent-child relationships, and adolescent development, with a particular emphasis on cyberbullying and prosocial behavior. Dr. Nikiforou has received multiple academic awards, including a Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy (2020). She has led and contributed to various research projects, including studies on bullying trajectories and interventions funded by the Youth Board of Cyprus and the National Betting Authority.

She emphasizes the role of parental knowledge and peer attachments in mitigating bullying behaviors.
